Roads from Silence (TCA 4382)

Roads from Silence – is a transnational co-operation of EQUAL-development partnerships that is devoted to support, training and empowerment for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and to the improvement of awareness of their (hearing) social environment.

Three EQUAL-development partnerships from Germany, Czech Republic and Austria work on joint products and exchange experience.

Awareness & Empowerment-Trainings to build bridges of understanding between deaf, hard of hearing and hearing colleagues for a productive and beneficial work relationship (AT).

Workshops oriented to the personalities of deaf and hard of hearing persons including principles of correct teaching of and communication with deaf and hard-of-hearing for normally hearing persons. (CZ)

Multimedia Sign Language glossary of medical terms (Video clips in Austrian (ÖGS) and Czech Sign Languages with titles in German, Czech and Englisch (AT, CZ, DE)

Internet-based information platform to facilitate communication between employers and deaf and hard of hearing job-seeking persons: Experience reports of job-seeking deaf and hard-of hearing persons and experiece reports about their work-life, experience reports of companies on integration of deaf and hard-of-hearing employees and job offers to deaf and hard of hearing applicants (AT, CZ, DE).
